I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaally dislike the update… I found a few loopholes / exploits (which I wont mention), as well as brand new ways of griefing (which I will also not mention). The Zombie Vision is better, but thats pretty much it. Everything else about the update severely lowers the enjoyment of the game…

Quag, do you think MMNB has enough “pull / leverage” to convince them to make some changes??

Not really sure what there is to “answer” here… I agree with some of your opinions on people, and disagree on others. I think if we’re talking about admin rights, we need to evaluate people based on admin-performance, and need to be careful about biased opinions.

In the real world, there are many times when managers dont get along with their subordinates. Just because the two people arn’t going to hang outafter work, doesn’t mean Joe Shmo isnt the best damn burger-flipper in town… Not sure if that’s the best analogy, but hey I try 🙂 The point is, if you have the authority to keep or remove admin rights, you can’t let the sole qualification be “does this person piss me off or not”

That being said, in regards to your list, a majority of the people who you do have disagreements with are also bad administrators.

I’m not going to comment on the non-admins you have in your list, since that’s just personal opinion.

Awe man this is pretty serious. I agree with you the admin abusing has gotten out of hand.

 

As this community has grown over the years, it’s taken more and more time and effort from Quag in order to manage it. We’ve taken pride in the fact that MMNB is not one of “those” servers, where unless you’re an admin, the server sucks. MMNB has been known for being a straight forward, friendly fire enabled server, in which even non-admins can have a good time. People might not realise that when they “show off their admin capabilities,” all it’s doing is advertising to new-comers that “I need to get admin powers too, or else I won’t enjoy playing here.” Quag has given us admin rights in order to keep the server fun by enforcing policy on griefers and trollers. He has not given us admin rights so we can show off how much more powerful we are when we can no-clip through walls to gain points.

 

Different admins have different points of view, and different attitudes (just like the cop who pulls you over). I personally like to think of myself as the admin of bad microphones 🙂 But I enforce my admin rights to benefit the other players on the server who are also listening to a horrible, ear bleeding microphone someone might be using.

 

 

Admin rights need to be used to benefit the other players on the server. They should NOT be used to be benefit your personal motives and rank.

 

 

 

I hope I’m not too much on my high horse here, but I hate to see Quag stressed out like this.

What other stuff do you have plugged into your network? Do other servers on ZPS have higher pings as well? Or just ones in the USA? There’s many variables that can affect your connection from Malaysia to the USA. Maybe your internet provider changed some of its routes? All of which can effect ping to MMNB.
