Where could The Walking Dead Universe go next?

The main series of The Walking Dead has already come to an end, but the universe around it is still continuing through other shows like Dead City, Daryl Dixon, and The Ones Who Live. These series explore different characters and locations while still being part of the same world. Even though the original show finished its story, it raises an interesting question about the future of the universe. Do you think it would ever be possible for the main series to return in some form, or do you think the story will continue only through separate shows and spinoffs? It would also be interesting to see if the different characters and storylines eventually come back together again. What direction would you like to see next for the TV side of The Walking Dead universe?

Has the main show fully ended? I am thinking we really never got real closure with what is going on in Alexandria, Oceanside, and some of the other communities. Did any of the Fear the Walking Dead cast (ie Morgan, Dwight) make their way back east? Lots of thoughts. . .

Now that I finally finished all the seasons, I can actually reply to this. I’d really like to see if Dwight ends up turning the Sanctuary into a place that’s actually safe for people. I’m also hoping we get a proper Rick and Daryl reunion at some point. Fear TWD kind of had a happy ending, and with Rick and Michonne heading back home in TWD: The ones who live, it feels like things are lining up. Overall it would be great to see everyone come back together and maybe even explore a real cure storyline, even though we only got a small hint of that with the radiation stuff.
