Dying Light: The Beast launches August 22 with new standalone zombie adventure

Dying Light: The Beast is set to release on 22 August for PlayStation 5, Xbox, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. If you own the Dying Light 2: Stay Human Ultimate Edition, you’ll get this standalone game for free.

About The Beast

The Beast takes place in Castor Woods, a once-popular tourist spot now overrun by zombies and danger. You play as Kyle Crane, the hero from the original game. After spending 13 years in captivity and experiments, Kyle escapes and sets out to find those responsible. Along the way, you’ll discover the forest holds even more threats: hostile survivors, deadly factions, and a mysterious creature that rules the woods.

Gameplay mixes familiar parkour movement with new beast-like powers. These powers come from the experiments and give Kyle unique abilities to fight and survive. You can explore the open world by day, completing missions and scavenging, but when night falls, the danger increases. The infected become more aggressive, forcing you to run, hide, or fight to survive.

You can play alone or team up with up to three other players in cooperative mode. Playing with friends makes surviving the horrors easier, but going solo adds a tougher challenge.
