Killing Floor 3 hasn’t had a great time recently. After a rough beta test which saw the game’s performance and general UI come under heavy fire, developer Tripwire delayed it indefinitely, acknowledging that it had “missed the mark.” But Killing Floor 3 is back, and this time it’s got a new release date that, thankfully, is just around the corner.
This likely comes as a surprise given that, the last time we heard from Tripwire, the highly anticipated multiplayer game had been delayed indefinitely. There was no mention of a new Killing Floor 3 release date, just promises to fix the beta’s seemingly myriad issues.
But there’s no need to worry my Zed-slaying friends: Killing Floor 3 is just around the corner, so grab your favorite weapons and get ready to slay.
Tripwire has confirmed that the Killing Floor 3 release date is now set for Thursday July 24.
The team has actively been working on fixing up the beta’s pain points, reworking the game’s controversial UI, and upgrading its animations to make them feel even more brutal.
“Since delaying the launch of Killing Floor 3, we’ve dedicated the additional development time to responding to the community’s feedback, ensuring the next chapter in the much-loved cult action/horror franchise lives up to our shared vision,” creative director Bryan Wynia says.
“The support from our fans has been incredible, and with the new July 24 release date in sight, we’re thrilled to bring that vision to players not just at launch, but through the continued support of new features and content that is a hallmark of our studio.”
