Sony Pictures has revealed a tension-filled and terrifying new trailer for Danny Boyle’s zombie thriller, 28 Years Later.
One of the trailers that absolutely blew me away during my time at CinemaCon the other week, was 28 Years Later. Its among the ones I’ve been most excited to see released online just so I can enjoy it over and over again as many times as needed. Thankfully that day has come and the trailer is even better than I remember.
There’s just so much going on here. Between the snippets of seeing how society has changed over the years, to the “evolution” of the infected, and just the overall white-gripping tension this trailer manages to elicit. Fans have been waiting a long time for this sequel and it looks like it won’t disappoint.
Academy Award®-winning director Danny Boyle and Academy Award®-nominated writer Alex Garland reunite for 28 Years Later, a terrifying new story set in the world created by 28 Days Later. It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.
28 Years Later arrives in theaters on June 20, 2025.
