A Serial Killer Returns from the Dead in ‘Waxman’ with Frank Stallone & Jon Abrahams

Waxmax, an indie horror film from writer-director Thomas J. Churchill (Check Point, The Amityville Moon), is now in production in Los Angeles, Deadline reports.

Frank Stallone (Hudson Hawk), Jon Abrahams (Scary Movie), Carlo Mendez (“Dexter: Original Sin”), Shar Jackson (“Moesha”), Scott Schwartz (A Christmas Story), Christiana Leucas (The Last Stand), Jody Quigley (Hijacked), and Sharna Burgess (“Dancing with the Stars”) star.

The film follows follows Detective Danny Murphy, whose desperate actions ignite a nightmare, culminating in the return of a vengeful serial killer after his death. Murphy is spooked by a theory but is determined to find all the pieces to figure out how to end the carnage of this notorious serial killer in hopes of saving another life – including the ones he loves.

How has he returned? How do you catch someone who is already dead? The questions permeate Murphy’s every thought.

The cast is rounded out by Rachel Pizzolato (“Mythbusters Jr.”), Charlie Schlatter (Police Academy: Mission to Moscow), James Pratt (3 Killer Pigs), Tank Jones (Rottentail), and Laurene Landon (Maniac Cop).

“This is about delivering an experience for the audience that’s as shocking as it is fresh,” Churchill said in a statement. “I am excited, we’ve created something that both respects horror traditions and brings something fresh and new to the table.”
