Brad Pitt has starred in several incredible movies but his zombie horror flick, World War Z, is an underrated classic that fans love. Released in 2013, it is one of his most successful movies of all time despite its moderate critical reviews. Inspired by a 2006 novel of the same name by author Max Brooks, fans have been waiting for a sequel for a long time.

While a sequel was said to be in the works and was later canceled, there is one awesome detail about the film that fans would want to know: a clip of Zombies dancing to Michael Jackson’s Thriller. After Pitt revealed years ago that such a video exists and promised that he would show it someday, it has been long enough for Pitt to release it finally.

Based on a book by the same name, Brad Pitt‘s World War Z was an amazing entry into the world of horror and zombie-based movies. While Pitt’s portrayal was well-received, the movie received mixed reviews at best but is now one of the best Zombie movies of all time.

While we await a sequel that does not seem to be happening anytime soon, Pitt ought to release a behind-the-scenes video from the set that features the zombies of the movie dancing to Michael Jackson‘s hit Thriller. The music video of Thriller became famous for featuring the popstar and back dancers as zombies dancing along to his hit song.

During an old interview with Nuts Magazine (via Contact Music) the actor revealed how extras on set recreated the King of Pop’s iconic music video.

”They did re-enact Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ video and we have that on tape. It’s pretty special. I’m going to show people one day.”

Pitt later added that the long exhaustive shoots, often during the nights, made them need a little light-heartedness, leading to the unreleased zombie video and a Halloween party. While the actor has not spoken about the video again and has not released it, we hope Pitt releases it soon.

Brad Pitt starred as a former United Nations investigator named Gerald Lane in World War Z. Set in a world overtaken by a sudden zombie apocalypse, the movie earned $540 million worldwide making it the highest-grossing zombie movie of all time (via Box Office Mojo). Despite mixed critical reviews, the movie is one of the best-rated movies by fans (see Google).

Initially envisioned as a trilogy (via LA Times), the movie’s sequel was announced shortly after its release. After multiple delays and more issues, Pitt’s long-time collaborator David Fincher was said to direct the sequel (via Variety). Yet, the highly anticipated sequel was scrapped in 2019 due to financial constraints (via IndieWire).

And so, since then, fans have been asking for a sequel to the zombie flick. Despite the movie’s mixed critical reviews, it has since garnered a dedicated fan base, leaving fans wanting more of the horror-thriller-action flick set against a backdrop of a zombie apocalypse.

The unique take on the zombie genre, combined with Brad Pitt’s compelling performance have made a sequel a highly anticipated and desired prospect for fans of the original film. With the movie’s unresolved plot still having the potential to further exploration of the post-apocalyptic world, we hope that Paramount sees the potential such a sequel has and gives fans what they deserve.

World War Z can be streamed on Amazon Prime.
