A terrifying new escape room has launched in Sydney to celebrate the launch of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live on Stan.
The bone-chilling experience has officially opened at Strike Bowling Darling Harbour, and will test even the most seasoned of escape room fans with its tricky clues and high-tech puzzles.
Players are challenged to join the search to reunite the series’ protagonists Rick Grimes and Michonne in just 50 minutes before they too become the walking dead.
The room boasts an array of interactive challenges themed around The Walking Dead universe, and players must use both their brains and bodies to retrace Rick’s steps using items recovered from his backpack.
It even features a real life ‘zombie’ whose job is to make every puzzle more difficult.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live premieres February 26 only on Stan in Australia.
The escape room is open from February 21 to 25, and fans can head to Strike Bowling with the limited discount code TWDonStan to secure their free spot.
From the phenomenon that made American history as the highest rated TV series ever, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live follows an epic love story of two characters battling against the odds.
A trailer for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live features Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes and Danai Gurira’s Michonne battling hordes of zombies, as the lovers maintain hope for a soon-to-come reunion.
Rick, who has been held captive for over a decade by the Civic Republic Military (CRM), a militarised survival group, says ‘I’m getting home’ in a voiceover at the beginning of the trailer, as Michonne, on a mission to rescue him, can be heard saying, ‘I have to find him’.
The trailer also shows a glimpse at Terry O’Quinn’s character, Major General Beale, who heads the CRM and informs Rick that if he aligns with his vision, ‘everything will change.’
Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) also makes a comeback after her last appearance in The Walking Dead: World Beyond season 2.
