LAIKA, Fathom Entertainment, and Trafalgar Releasing have jointly announced that the acclaimed 2012 animated horror comedy “ParaNorman” will return to cinemas.
The title is being remastered and released in both 2D and RealD 3D for an exclusive week-long Halloween run starting October 23rd in international markets and October 25th in the U.S.
On top of that, a brand new short film titled “ParaNorman: The Thrifing” will be attached to the movie with original voice stars Finn Wolfhard and Anna Kendrick reprising their roles of Norman and his older sister Courtney.
LAIKA lead character designer Thibault LeClercq directs the short from a script written by Chris Butler, but specifics are under wraps.
The announcement follows the massive success of the “Coraline” 15th anniversary re-release last year which snagged a worldwide gross of $56 million and outperformed the film’s original box office run in some international markets.
Kodi Smit-McPhee, Casey Affleck, Leslie Mann, John Goodman, Jodelle Ferland, Alex Borstein, Christoper Mintz-Plasse co-star in the film about a young boy who can see ghosts.
This Halloween, for one week only, #ParaNorman returns to theaters in remastered 3D! Screenings will include a new CG-animated short featuring the voice talents of Finn Wolfhard and Anna Kendrick.
