Sinners is the best horror movie of 2025 (so far). Set in rural Mississippi in 1932, it follows twin brothers who return to their hometown to open a juke joint. Along with their friends, cousin, employees and guests, the twins face real (racists) and supernatural (vampires) obstacles on the night of their grand opening. Written, directed and produced by Ryan Coogler, Sinners is currently the sixth highest-grossing movie of the year overall.
Now, Sinners is set to hit streaming. Like most major releases, it will first be available as a premium video on demand before appearing as part of a streaming service’s regular catalog. Sinners will appear on Prime Video and Apple TV to buy or rent on June 3.
After a period of time on premium video on demand, Sinners will be added to HBO Max, free for subscribers to watch. This is due to the film being distributed by Warner Bros, which is owned by the same parent company as HBO Max. There’s no word on the exact date Sinners will show up on HBO Max, but it usually takes around three months after a film is released in theaters.
