Sales agency EuroObscura is proud to present the upcoming folk horror film SNOW ANGEL OF REVENGE, a chilling and atmospheric tale from the icy heart of Finland, directed by Keke Soikkeli and produced by Nordic Films Productions. The film will be showcased at the upcoming Cannes Film Market, where international buyers will have the first glimpse at this haunting new addition to the folk horror genre.
Set in the remote, snow-covered wilderness of rural Finland, SNOW ANGEL OF REVENGE follows two young women as they flee a traumatic past to seek peace in an isolated villa—only to discover they are far from alone. A mysterious local cult, steeped in ancient rituals and bound by blood secrets, quickly pulls them into a nightmarish spiral of fear, control, and violence. As terror mounts, the survivors embrace their inner darkness. The snow will be stained red as they stop at nothing in their quest for retribution.
The film stars three Miss Finland finalists in supporting roles—Sara Chafak (Miss Finland 2012 and Miss Universe contestant), Katariina Juselius, and Scharliina Eräpuro, who also performs the haunting theme song “Koston enkeli” (“Angel of Vengeance”). Their striking presence adds both glamour and intensity to the film’s dark folklore-inspired world.
Legendary Finnish actress Hannele Lauri, whose acclaimed 50-year career has earned her the prestigious Jussi Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019, makes her horror debut in a transformative performance.
