A new zombie videogame set in the world of Birmingham will soon be available to play for gamers.
God Save Birmingham is a survival horror videogame set in the medieval market town of 14th-century Birmingham.
A Steam description for God Save Birmingham said: “Doom has come to Birmingham, and you are the last soul alive.

“Survive an undead plague in a painstakingly recreated medieval market town.
“Manage your needs, master physics-based mechanics, and evade the horde for as long as you can.”
The game is developed by Ocean Drive Studios, an independent developer based in South Korea.
Although the release date is unannounced, the game is scheduled for early access, meaning players have the opportunity to play God Save Birmingham before a full release.
On April 25, an exclusive gameplay trailer dropped on YouTube channel, IGN, which has since seen over 800,000 views in a matter of days.
Survival horror is a popular subgenre in the videogame world, especially after the success of The Last Of Us.
The game, set in a zombie-infested America, has led to a sequel and a popular television series of the same name.
Whilst it’s rare for Birmingham to be used as a location in a game, the city has a strong connection to the industry.
Codemasters Birmingham produce the Formula 1 videogame series and the developers are also known for their work on the Colin McRae driving games.
God Save Birmingham will soon be available on early access on PC, but it’s unknown when the game will become available on consoles.
