A new horror movie is on the horizon, and it contains a Lord of the Rings legend, “ultra-violent content,” “mutant nudity,” to name a few themes, and fans are already disgusted.
Forthcoming horror movie The Toxic Avenger is making its way into theaters unrated, but the creators have teased fans with a warning, of some sort, of what to expect.
While it has no official age rating, a tweet shared by The Toxic Avenger’s X account warns viewers: “Absolutely No One Under 18 Permitted. Don’t Even Try And Get In.”
The intriguing description doesn’t end there, though. The post states that the film contains “Ultra violent/toxic content, p— play, mutant nudity, and gnarly theater fun.” Despite the rather wild contents, Rotten Tomatoes has awarded it a 92% rating. Surprisingly, that is not the strangest news to come of the upcoming star-studded black comedy.

The first teaser showed phallic and downright disturbing meals being served at a fast-food restaurant, where The Toxic Avenger, known as Toxie, takes on “big men with guns.”
The second trailer then displays toxic headache medication being given to Lord of the Rings star Peter Dinklage, who later becomes Toxie.
The movie is centered on the wild Toxic Avenger franchise, which kicked off with the 1984 movie The Toxic Avenger, following a 98-pound weakling janitor whose accident with nuclear waste turns him into a crime-fighting hero per se.
Spanning decades, the franchise boasts multiple sequels, a stage musical, a comic book series from Marvel Comics, a video game, and an animated series.
Similarly, the new The Toxic Avenger movie follows “a downtrodden janitor Winston Gooze (Dinklage)” who transforms when exposed to a toxic accident.
The synopsis reads: “Now, Toxie must rise from outcast to savior, taking on ruthless corporate overlords and corrupt forces who threaten his son, his friends, and his community. In a world where greed runs rampant… justice is best served radioactive.”
In addition to the Game of Thrones star, the movie also stars Jacob Tremblay, Taylour Paige, Kevin Bacon, Elijah Wood, Julia Davis, and Julian Kostov, to name a few.
Despite the wild themes, fans seem eager for its release. On X, commenting under a post shared by the movie’s account, user @Randomshit5000 asked: “Trailer 3 when ??????!”
A second intrigued user, @BunyipPouch, playfully commented: “Love me some good mutant nudity,” as user @SpandexTarzan quipped: “You had me at Piss play,” followed by the thumbs up emoji.
Another person @NeoSe7ens raved: “I’ll be there, for sure,” as @FinalGuyKris eagerly added: “LET’S F—–G GO!”
The Toxic Avenger will be released in US theaters on August 29. An international release date has yet to be announced.
