On the heels of his wild briefing room cameo Thursday, Saturday Night Live took on White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller — portraying him as a cold, zombie-like figure.
In a feisty cold open Saturday, President Donald Trump — portrayed by James Austin Johnson — was shown preparing to sign executive orders alongside Miller (played by Mikey Day ).
“Here to help is Deputy Chief of Staff and Lord of the Shadows, Stephen Miller,” Trump said — as classic horror movie music played Miller on to the sketch.
One of the faux executive orders took aim at 73-year-old North Carolina football coach Bill Belichick — whose wild interview with CBS, which was interrupted by his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson, has been ridiculed throughout the week .
“Sir, this order will make it socially acceptable for a man in his 70s to date a 24-year-old,” Miller told Trump.
“That’s right, we’re calling it Belichick law,” Trump said. He added, “Did you see Belichick’s girlfriend? She’s pretty hot, right?”
Mikey Day’s Miller served up a strange, monotone response.
“Yes, she is a beautiful creature,” Miller said — with Day maintaining a cold stare directly at the camera, as he did for much of the sketch.
“God, you’re creepy!” Trump said. “This is why we don’t hang out outside of work.”
The portrayal is not likely to go over well with the real Miller — who recently blasted SNL in a Fox News interview .
“‘Saturday Night Live’ has not been culturally relevant in 20 years,” Miller told Fox’s Big Weekend Show on March 9. “‘Saturday Night Live’ has not produced a meaningful talent since the 1990s. ‘Saturday Night Live’ has been the place where comedy goes to die. The only good thing that has happened on ‘Saturday Night Live’ in the last couple of decades were the times that President Trump hosted ‘Saturday Night Live.’”
