GOD SAVE BIRMINGHAM Is An Upcoming Zombie Game Set In 14th-Century England

Korean developers Kakao Games and Ocean Drive Studio are bringing zombie chaos to medieval England with God Save Birmingham, an open world horror game coming soon to Steam Early Access, with console releases to follow.

Set in 14th Century Birmingham, players must navigate through bubonic medieval market town ravaged by shambling corpses of your former friends and neighbors:

As the lone survivor in a city overrun by the dead, you’ll rely on your wits, your fists, and whatever you can arm yourself with to endure the nightmare. Explore a painstakingly recreated medieval town where danger lurks around every corner — not just from the undead, but from hunger, thirst, exhaustion, and even trip hazards. Grapple with gritty, real-world physics in a world where every step could be your last. Outsmart the horde, or become their next meal.

A new gameplay trailer for God Save Birmingham revealed earlier this week teases some of the game’s physics-based mechanics, where the player needs to sneak and gather supplies without being noticed by the undead.

Attendees at PAX East (May 8-11) can check out an exclusive playable demo from the God Save Birmingham team.

God Save Birmingham is now available to Wishlist on Steam, where it will release as Early Access. Watch the new gameplay trailer below:
