The long-awaited Zombie Land Saga anime film, titled Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise, will officially hit Japanese theatres on October 24, 2025. A brand-new trailer and key visual have been revealed, giving fans a taste of the high-energy chaos the zombie idols are about to unleash. The new trailer kicks off with the words “2025 Saga Expo Opening,” teasing a space-themed adventure featuring collapsing cities, dancing old men, and our beloved undead girls prepping for their biggest performance yet.
The teaser visual is just as wild — it shows the seven zombie idols of Franchouchou leaping into space alongside a massive Saga Expo pavilion. MAPPA is once again handling animation production, and a stellar team of returning talent is behind the scenes.
Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise staff, cast & more
Zombie Land Saga is an anime about a girl named Sakura who suddenly dies—but then wakes up as a zombie! She finds out that a strange man has brought her and six other dead girls back to life as zombies. His goal? To form an all-zombie idol group and save the Saga Prefecture!
The girls come from different time periods and backgrounds, but they must work together to sing, dance, and perform like real idols—all while hiding the fact that they’re zombies. The show is funny, weird, and sometimes emotional, mixing music, comedy, and even a bit of horror in a unique way.
The movie reunites key staff from the anime series. Takafumi Ishida and Takeru Sato are co-directing, with Shigeru Murakoshi writing the screenplay. Yasuharu Takanashi is back to compose the music, while Konosuke Uda serves as chief director. MAPPA is teaming up with Avex Pictures and Cygames once again to produce the film.
Character design is being handled by a trio of animation veterans: Fumihide Sai, Jinshichi Yamaguchi, and Kasumi Fukagawa.

Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise was first announced back in 2021, right after Season 2 (Zombie Land Saga Revenge) wrapped up. With the new movie now just months away, a Blu-ray box set of Season 2 is also scheduled to drop on August 27. It’ll include a live concert video, soundtrack CD, and bonus booklet — a must-have for longtime fans.
