It’s fair to say that video game figurines are something more than just collectibles. Gamers simply can’t get enough of them as they celebrate their favorite titles and prove their commitment to the hobby. Without figurines, any gaming setup would feel incomplete.
Over the years, we’ve seen tons of Call of Duty figurines. They’re a perfect display piece for fans of the FPS franchise as they nail the intensity and spirit of the games.
However, if you’re planning to travel around with one of the Call of Duty zombie figurines, beware, as the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) isn’t keen on that idea.
Call of Duty figurines are TSA’s worst nightmare
Currently, TSA’s socials are hosting an informative campaign called ‘Prohibited Items Week.’ With this initiative, TSA wants to give everyone a look at all the dangerous and unusual items that passengers have attempted to take on planes.
You’ll be shocked to know that the TSA has also seized a figurine of a Monkey Bomb originating from Call of Duty‘s Zombies mode from a passenger at Boston Logan International Airport. The figurine actually seems to be an accessory holder from Cable Guys meant to hold various electronic devices, including phones and console controllers.
The Monkey Bomb, or Cymbal Monkey, is one of the franchise’s most iconic figures, and it has appeared in a number of Call of Duty entries, such as Black Ops 6 and World at War. The multiple C4 sticks that can be seen on the back of the figurine are clearly fake. However, according to the TSA, none of that matters, and it’s still a replica explosive. So, it’s been banned from entering carry-on luggage and checked baggage.
Who does this figurine belong to? Well, that’s still unknown, but they were likely sad realizing that TSA had taken their prized possession. Gamers who are looking to travel with the Monkey Bomb figurine might be better off mailing it to where they’re heading. Otherwise, they might go through a lot of hurdles.
Where’s the next Call of Duty game?

Now that Call of Duty players know that carrying their figurines on airplanes might not be a good idea, let’s head back to the gaming side of things. As Activision’s FPS franchise is an annual series, we’re destined to get a game this year, as has been the case since 2005.
According to reports from Insider Gaming, Call of Duty 2025 is going to be yet another Black Ops entry. What’s special about this one is that it’s a sequel to 2012’s Black Ops, taking place sometime in the early 2030s.
Multiple leaks have suggested that the next Call of Duty will feature a round-based zombie mode, which is the biggest one in the franchise so far. There’s supposed to be a remake of the Tranzit map and tons of older maps from previous Black Ops games. The title will also feature a return of omnimovement.
When can we expect this entry to hit the shelves? Well, considering the franchise’s past releases, we can expect Call of Duty 2025 to be released in October or November this year.
