The new zombie comedy set to be produced by Dinesh Vijan is present in the development stage. The cast has not been finalised yet.

Go Goa Gone remains a benchmark in Indian cinema as one of the few movies to venture into the zombie comedy genre. Over a decade after its release, producer Dinesh Vijan is set to bankroll another zombie comedy. The film is expected to go on floors in the second half of 2025, as per reports. As of now, there is no news about the original cast of Saif Ali Khan, Vir Das and Kunal Kemmu, returning.
The cast of the new zombie movie has not been announced yet. But it does signal that Maddock Films, led by Vijan, is solidifying its presence in producing horror-comedy content. The producer’s horror comedy universe, which has movies like Munjya, Bhediya and Stree, also features a dose of the supernatural mixed with humour.

“The Zombie Comedy is an ensemble film, with a strong female protagonist and a rather young male counterpart. The casting is underway and the makers are looking to make an official announcement once all the key characters are locked,” a source told Pinkvilla.
The upcoming zombie comedy is presently in the development stage. It is unclear yet if the film will be linked to Maddock’s horror comedy universe. According to Pinkvilla, the project will be separate from Go Goa Gone and might lead to the start of a new franchise.
As for Maddock Films, the production house is bankrolling several films in its horror comedy universe including Thama Shakti Shalini, and Chamunda. A larger narrative connecting the stories will culminate in Pehla Mahayudh and Doosara Mahayudh. Thama and Shakti Shalini are set to hit theatres this year. Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurrana play the leads in Thama. As for Shakti Shalini, the lead cast has not yet been revealed.
In 2026, Chamunda and Bhediya 2 will be released. Stree 3 and Maha Munjya will hit theatres in 2027. Pehla Mahayudh and Doosara Mahayudh will be out in 2028.

Apart from the horror-comedy universe, Dinesh Vijan will also produce Homi Adjania’s Cocktail 2. The project features Rashmika Mandanna, Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor. The producer also has Tehran, Ikkis, Bhool Chuk Maaf, and Diler lined up for release.
