Back in 2004, the world saw Simon Pegg-starring hit movie that obviously set the bar high for so-called zom coms. Combined with the success of Cillian Murphy’s 28 Days Later (2002), it inspired filmmakers to speculate more on zombie apocalypses.
Indeed, you may have seen Nicholas Hoult’s Warm Bodies or Brad Pitt’s World War Z (both 2013) that were box office bangers at the time, but there was another movie that blended zombie horror, action and humor even better than Pegg’s comedy.
