Call of Duty has been around for the last two decades and a handful of developers came in and went through the door that added new content and depth. The zombie mode quickly became a fan-favorite feature of the franchise and other fans are leaning towards it for inspiration.
Arrowhead Game Studios is in dire need of new content to keep the player base interested and some fans have a cool suggestion that made the zombie mode a massive success and could do the same magic on another project. The fans are eager to see this idea manifest into reality.
Arrowhead Game Studios Should Take Notes From Call of Duty
For all their shortcomings and faults, Activision has done plenty for the beloved shooter franchise. Members of the gaming community would often suggest ideas and concepts that other game developers applied to their projects that could work on something else like the weapon mastery system from Call of Duty.
Arrowhead Game Studios needs all the help and support they can get to keep Helldivers 2 afloat and remain relevant and this idea could be just the trick to secure its longevity.
The developers should secretly place hidden boss enemies in matches for players to seek out, fight, and take the loot. Players have been goading Joel, the game master for quite a while and demanding him to up the stakes, and deploying powerful enemies in the field could be an appropriate response.
Perhaps Arrowhead should consider applying this technique which would most likely strike fear in the hearts of players and encourage them to tread carefully and be more vigilant. Fighting enemies head-on is risky enough but fighting something looming around is another problem entirely.
Helldivers 2 Could Benefit From Adding Hidden Bosses in Matches
Live service games heavily rely on creativity and there is no shame in taking inspiration from other franchises. Doing so is taking initiative and thinking out of the box which should be inspired by.
It is only a matter of time before game developers are plum out of ideas and resort to recycling older ones for fans to criticize and tear to shreds. The hidden boss idea would change up the playing field and make players more paranoid of something lurking in the surroundings.
The gaming community asked for a challenge and for the game master to crank up the heat, might as well do it in a fashion that will first make them feel uneasy. Hidden bosses could be the kind of content that will spice up the gaming experience for more skilled players.
Video games should bring out the best in the gaming community and Activision has been doing something right if their games are still being talked about today, perhaps it will have the same effect for Arrowhead Game Studios. Taking inspiration will honor both franchises and the fans will greatly appreciate the callback.
