What is Mountain Man about?
Mountain Man is based on a 2011 novel written by Keith C. Blackmore.
“It’s been two years since civilization ended in an unstoppable wave of chaos and blood. Now, former house painter Augustus ‘Gus’ Berry lives a day-to-day existence of waking up, getting drunk, and preparing for the inevitable moment when ‘they’ will come up the side of his mountain and penetrate his fortress,” the description of the book reads. “Living on the outskirts of Annapolis, Gus goes scavenging for whatever supplies remain in the undead suburbia below. Every time he descends the mountain could be his last. But when Gus encounters another survivor, he soon realizes the zombie horde may not be the greatest threat he faces…”
“John is a brilliant creative mind. We’ve been looking for the right thing to do together since we filmed Pee Wee’s Big Holiday and it’s finally here,” said Joe and Nick Manganiello. “Very excited to get to work on such weird, wild project with him.”
Joe Manganiello is known for playing Big Dicki Richie in 2012’s Magic Mike, 2015’s Magic Mike XXL, and 2023’s Magic Mike’s Last Dance. He’s additionally starred in 2015’s Knight of Cups, 2018’s Rampage, and 2023’s The Kill Room, among other titles, while he also cameoed as Deathstroke in both 2017’s Justice League and 2021’s Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
Mountain Man does not yet have a wide United States release date.
