Screenings of Dawn of the Dead’s 45th anniversary are happening next week in the US and Canada, and Fangoria has set up a very special screening at a major setting from the zombie classic.
Cinemark and Fangoria have teamed up to show Dawn of the Dead at the Monroeville Mall in Pittsburgh for the 45th anniversary.
The mall is famously the place where the film’s protagonists hole up for the majority of the film, and subsequently set the survival plans of many a horror fan in a zombie apocalypse.
Dawn of the Dead 45th Anniversary Showings
The showing will feature special guests, and a Q&A. Here’s what the official page has to say about it.
”Celebrate George A. Romero’s 1979 seminal zombie classic with this rare opportunity to see it back on the big screen in the theater at the famous mall where it was filmed! Featuring special guests in attendance from the film for a Q&A before the show, including: Bob Michelucci, Joe Shelby, Marty Schiff, Mike Narducci, Sharon Hill, and more. The iconic screen used motorcycle & sidecar from the film will also be on-site and available for photos (courtesy of the Living Dead Museum).”
There will, of course, be showings elsewhere in the US and Canada, so you can celebrate Romero’s zombie opus too. Just visit the official site to find out where it’s playing.
