Walking Dead fans expecting big cameo in The Ones Who Live – Dexerto

With more than half of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live still to go, there’s plenty of time for cameos, and fans have their sights set on one classic TWD character.

Across The Walking Dead, timelines and characters cross paths frequently. Thanks to the numerous Walking Dead spinoffs, there’s plenty of opportunity to do so, and the showrunners haven’t shied away from having characters merge throughout the different storylines.

As such, we’ve had a few familiar faces appear in the latest Walking Dead series, The Ones Who Live. Jadis, Bailey, and Aiden have all shown up (with some staying longer than others), and it’s expected that it won’t stop there. Don’t forget, the CRM has been responsible for plenty of tragedy across the franchise, so it’ll take more than just Rick and Michonne to take them down once and for all.

With fans speculating about who could be next to show up in the remaining episodes of The Ones Who Live, there’s one name that’s being called out far more than others.

Walking Dead fans think Morgan could return in The Ones Who Live

On The Walking Dead subreddit, fans are theorizing about who could be the next TWD character to make a cameo, and the majority seem to think that Morgan is the most likely.

“[Scott] Gimple says another character will make an appearance, I bet it’ll be Morgan,” said one comment. Another added: “Yeah…two Easter eggs so far for Morgan: Ep 1, Okafor giving Thorne and Rick the book that Eastman gave Morgan. Ep 2, Michonne lying to CRM that her weapon of choice was a bo staff. Could be looking too deep into it, but still love the callbacks.”

Another agreed, saying: “I think it’s going to be Morgan, it was pretty much set up at the end of Fear the Walking Dead.”

“Morgan is probably who it’s going to be,” another user said. “Morgan is Gimple’s favorite character, and he even left Fear in search of Rick. Like quite literally his last scenes were him over the walkie trying to get in contact with Rick.”

Considering how Morgan appeared in the pilot episode of The Walking Dead, serving as Rick’s guiding force and first human exposure to the walker-run world, it’s safe to say that he’s a legacy character. Morgan would then go on to star in Fear the Walking Dead, and even in the main series, Rick attempts to communicate with him numerous times.

At the end of Fear the Walking Dead, Morgan and his daughter are on their way to Alexandria to find Rick and his family. If Morgan got there and found reason to believe Rick was alive elsewhere, then it stands to reason that he, like Michonne, could be on his way to find him.
