However, their frustration has intensified as of the most recent episode of the new series.

The series has been making an attempt at exploring what character Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) has been up to since he was last seen in The Walking Dead.

The previous episode offered to shed some light on Rick’s fate in a super-sized episode.

Viewers learned of what Rick had done to himself in an attempt to try to escape the captors he had been taken by.

He also ended up reuniting with his love interest Michonne (Danai Gurira).

But this lengthy expository segment seemed to be a bit too much for viewers, who found it packed too much into one show.

They also felt that Rick and Michonne’s reunion in one episode was a bit sudden.

There had been far too much that took place in the original The Walking Dead series to squeeze into one quick episode.

Plus, there had been additional developments that the new spin-off series seemed to gloss over, which irritated viewers.

While there have been some moments that have caught on with fans, like a brief makeout session between Rick and Michonne, it hasn’t stopped viewers from being frustrated.

‘IT NEEDS TO END’

Annoyed viewers aired their grievances on social media, going so far as to say they were going to stop watching.

“Walking Dead just needs to end already,” one viewer wrote.

“That last episode was so freakin’ stupid. The writing is such a joke, and the relationships are just getting completely ridiculous at this point. One of the main baddies all of a sudden is married now. I’m really struggling to watch it,” they added.

“This final season of The Walking Dead been so boring so far. This s**t needs to hurry up and end. I’ve invested in so much time with this show I might as well see it to the end,” another posted.

“Call my life The Walking Dead the way it needs to f******g end already,” one particularly incensed fan wrote.

“Maybe we should call for a boycott of ‘The Walking Dead’ and its spin-off series on AMC,” another fan suggested.”

AWKWARD ON AIR

Recently, Danai, who plays Michonne, appeared on Live with Kelly and Mark.

She discussed The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live while on the show.

Kelly Ripa admitted that she gets scared every time she sees a clip from the show.

When Live came back from commercial, a clip of the show aired.

As the crowd cheered, Kelly, 53, sat with her arms folded in her chair.

She laughed as she looked at Danai, 46, and said, “I can’t.”

Kelly leaned forward, shaking her head.

“It scares me every time,” she admitted.

“Really?” Danai asked.

“Even that scared me. Even that moment scared me,” Kelly said.

“Oh. Come on. Why?” the actress asked as Kelly asked her questions about the new series.

Kelly didn’t have a good answer for Danai as she giggle her way through her response.

Danai found it charming and grinned a bit at Kelly for her answer.
