John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is a co-operative FPS in which players have to destroy the Sludge God, an evil creature which can turn people into zombies.

In a statement, Carpenter said: “It’s exciting to be collaborating on a new video game with Focus and Saber.

“Look, I really like shooting zombies. They keep telling me that they’re called ’the infected.’ Please. They’re ghouls, dude. They blow up real good and there are a ton of them. People are going to love this game.

John Carpenter has expressed his love for video games in numerous interviews.

Last October, the famed director of Halloween, The Thing and The Fog was asked about if he’d ever thought of adapting a game.
