The upcoming The Walking Dead spin-off with Rick & Michonne has confirmed its title.
A new logo has revealed the upcoming show that reunites Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michone (Danai Gurira) is unsurprisingly called The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne.

AMC also provided a new synopsis for the show: “The love story of Rick Grimes and Michonne is changed by a changed world,” it reads. “Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. Can they find each other and who they were in a situation unlike any they’ve ever known?”
Continuing their story beyond The Walking Dead, it looks as though the upcoming spin-off will reunite two of its most popular characters for a love story like no other. The last time they were together, Rick seemingly sacrificed himself to blow up a bridge, saving his friends and family from a horde of walkers. However, that’s not quite the end of the story.
It’s been pointed out by fans that the logo itself might give us a tease of what to expect: the military-style stencil may be a hint. After all, the Civic Republic Military was responsible for Rick’s exit back in Season 9 when he was whisked away aboard one of their helicopters. But it wasn’t exactly a daring rescue, as Rick was traded to the Civic Republic by human trafficker Jadis/Anne, played by Pollyanna McIntosh.
A coda at the end of The Walking Dead’s series finale showed Rick’s foiled escape attempt as he tried to get away from the CRM’s fortified, post-apocalyptic version of Philadelphia. Of course, Michonne eventually learned that Rick was still alive. Now, it looks as though it’s time for her to get her man back.
IGN’s The Walking Dead Season 11 debut review gave it 5/10 and said: “The Walking Dead dropped some half measures on us for its season eleven opener, giving us a pre-Commonwealth storyline that offered a more direct Maggie/Negan conflict that’s, currently, playing out predictably. During a final stretch when things need to heat up, the show feels like it’s cooling down. That doesn’t mean exciting things aren’t waiting in the wings, but the various parts of this particular episode did not make for a promising premiere.”
